Coach Wadle Inducted to Hall of Fame

Coach Wadle Inducted into the Iowa Football Coaches Association Hall of Fame
Posted on 03/04/2023
We’d like to congratulate Bishop Garrigan football coach, Marty Wadle, who was one of five inductees into the Iowa High School Football Coaches Hall of Fame on March 4, 2023. The Iowa Football Coaches Association is honored to submit new members to its Hall of Fame each season. The IFCA Hall of Fame honor is one of the highest recognitions that a coach can receive. It honors those coaches who have excelled both on and off the field. Coaches who have impacted players, schools, communities, and the game of football in Iowa.

Bishop Garrigan hired Marty right out of Simpson College in 1992, and he has spent the last 31 seasons coaching the Garrigan Bears. He has coached the team to 216 wins, nine district titles, 19 playoff appearances, and three state runner-up finishes (1999, 2005, 2016). Garrigan also racked up 36 straight regular season victories from 2015-18. Wadle has been named the CYO coach of the year three times.

Thank you Coach Wadle for all you have done for Garrigan football and congratulations!
